Email Marketing Lesson How To Stop Being A Bore With Your Email Marketing Messages

Category: Email Marketingadmin @ 7:09 am

Let’s make sure we understand what constitutes a boring Email
message.

1. Boring Email Marketing messages don’t keep your customer’s
attention.

2. Often, boring Email Marketing messages don’t get read.

3. More often, boring Email Marketing messages get put right into
the delete box.

Ouch!

But there is something that is worse than all of this.

***It makes me sad just to think about it.

–Boring Email Marketing messages

–often result in your customers

–hitting the unsubscribe button.

Double Ouch! :(

Why does this make me sad? (see my face above)

-If your customers don’t want to hear from you again you have lost permission to talk to them

-Customers that don’t want to hear from you don’t give you anymore of their money

It also means

1. I’ve blown it.

2. I’ve failed to keep my customer’s attention.

3. I’ve lost an opportunity to share my business and products with a potential sale.

4. I will have to try really hard to get the customer back (without the aid of Email Marketing – which will be super hard and in some cases impossible).

5. My Email Marketing messages were boring and sleep inducing
(which is not really the ego strokes I am looking for).

It really all comes down to a simple key that lots of businesses
seem to miss.

You might want to write this down because it is really important.Maybe even print this Email and highlight this part – your business health; even life may depend on it.

You have to realize:
-There is so much information bombarding people these days that if your customer doesn’t find something of interest in what you are saying they simply turn one degree in any direction and get
information from someone else.

The key is to provide VALUE.

I will say that again – PROVIDE VALUE.

Many people think to ‘not be boring’ is to provide a flashy, color rich presentation.

**This is not what I am talking about.**

If your e-newsletter is five lines long, text based and full of
things that your customers find valuable they won’t care about what it looks like.

I heard about a guy that runs a little bulk food store. One of his recent e-newsletters offered a 15% discount for orders over $25. I thought that was an extremely generous offer!

-This store owner understands that his customers value saving money (your customers probably do too).

-His e-newsletter is text based and outlines product specials of
the week and the special Email only subscribers offer {the 15%
discount}. The e-newsletter is very short and takes only
about 3 minutes to read.

-One of his recent weekly Emails generated a 15-20% response rate. (If you can get 5% some would consider you a god…)

Here are some things you will want to ponder this week before you write your own e-newsletters.

-What do my customers value?

-How can I give them this item(s) in my e-newsletter?

And write an e-newsletter that will be as far away from ‘boring’ as you can get.

eMail Marketing 8 Tips on Sending HTML eMails

Category: Email Marketingadmin @ 2:06 pm

1. Size of the Html emails:

Size does matters. If the emails are bulky, spam filters think they
are spam. So they will be deleted or directed to junk folder. Better
be less than 20 kb.

To make Html emails with small sizes follow these principles-
Don’t use WYSIWYG editors to create Html emails.
Don’t attach images to messages. Upload the images to your website
and link from there.
Mind attachements that you will send with emails.

2. Javascripts and executable attachments:

Don’t insert javascripts and those sort of things in your Html emails.
They potentially decrease the deliverability of your email in to
your subscribers inboxes, because people disables these in their email
clients to run.

3. Html complexity:

Most of the email clients support only minimal html. Like simple
break tags, paragraph tags etc. Don’t use complex html code like
frames, sliding menus etc.

4. Hiding and Tracking links:

Great advantage of Html emails is you can hide your affiliate links
and track who opened the emails (only if images are downloable).

5. Easy to publish on the web:

Make a template for your Html emails. So let all emails be consistent in
layout. You can publish the ezines or ecourses on the web directly from Html
emails. You don’t have to format like in text emails.

6. Attachments:

All mailing list managers has the ability to attach single or
multiple attachments. But spam filters triggered by attacments in
many email clients. So put them as download links.

7. Links in Html emails:

Try not to misdirect your subscribers. Best way linking is by using
legit wording. Like if you are keeping the following affiliate link
(example – www.affiliatesite.com/affiliate.php?idxxxx) for a search engine
optimization ebook, keep this url linked to the word
‘Search engine optimization strategies guide’. Don’t link to affiliatesite.com
This way subscribers know what they are clicking and what to expect
after clicking.

8. Email clients limitations:

Not all email clients display Html emails properly. So offer a choice
for your subscriber to opt for text emails in your email letters.

Email Marketing Is Still the Best!

Category: Email Marketingadmin @ 12:08 pm

Let’s face some truths here.

Do you really think you are you going to be the one lucky Adsense web site owner that has beaten off 4,600,000 other competitor sites that is each chasing the top paying keyword that is currently “mesothelioma”?

Here’s another truth! Do you think that the high paying keywords are attracting lots of search interest? On average, mesothelioma attracts a single click each day.

For you information, they are only high paying keywords, because the corporate lawyers out there know that fighting, successfully, for a client that has the mesothelioma disease, stand a chance of earning huge sums of compensation.

So, if you are still aiming to be that one lucky site that is going to win the SEO wars with over 4 million of your competitors, just to earn the $60 or $70 that is up for grabs from the single click per day that this keyword generates, you’d better rethink your strategies

Yes, I must agree that I shouldn’t turn down that opportunity of earning the $25,550 per year that is up for grabs for targeting the “mesothelioma” keyword.

But do you see what I’m driving at?

The truth is, that you are just relying on a single, chance click that is going to earn the you money – and you have to get that one click day in, day out!

Email marketing through publishing an ezine or newsletter and sending it to your opt-in list is much more profitable than hoping to get the single click on that high paying keyword. And that is true, even if you have a small list. The nature of ezine publishing creates loyal readers and highly responsive buyers for your products and services.

Why is email marketing such a powerful marketing strategy?

- you are building relationships with your prospects

- the majority of people check their email every day

- there is a significant saving in time and money

- millions of people subscribe to get information that they are interested in

- increases customer loyalty because of frequent contacts

- email builds your brand

If you have a responsive opt-in list then the potential for email marketing profits is enormous. Thousands of successful Internet marketers can’t be wrong when they say, “The money is in the list.”

You need to build your responsive, opt-in list and send your prospects useful and informative information in your newsletter / ezine. You need to find out what your subscribers want and develop that product or service the offer it to your list. Then do it again and again.
